Vegetarian Wonton Noodle – Ariya Maitreya Vegetarian Restaurant

Howdy Guys…

Sunday is a praying day for most people. At a bright sunny today, we went to Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Batam, not for praying, but for getting our breakfast there.

We saw a lot of people were going there in the morning for Buddhist activities such as public worship, kids Sunday school, dancing exercise, or other activities. Other than all the activities there, inside the temple area, there was one big room special for Ariya Maitreya Vegetarian Restaurant to serve all people who want to get vegetarian food, not only for their Buddhist community, but also for common people. There were a lot of tables inside the restaurant and can accommodate more than 500 persons with a good air circulation. Even though the place was so big and quite crowded, this place was well kept and clean.

This vegetarian restaurant was offering buffet food style and some food stalls. We were going to one of the food stall which served Vegetarian Wonton Noodle (Mie Pangsit Vegetarian). There were a lot of people queuing in front of the stall. Actually we had went to this place last week to get the noodle, but we were coming too late at 09.05 AM. The noodle was sold out! So, today, we just woke up earlier to get what we were hunting for, a bowl of Vegetarian Wonton Noodle to brighten our sunny day. 🙂

Our sacrifice is paid off. The noodle was suuuuper yummy which both Mr. BD & Ms. BD love it so much. The portion is just right. As you can see on above picture, the noodle was accompanied by some vegetables and some kind of “meat” such as pork meat, fried wonton, and steamed wonton. The veggie meat definitely was impressive; it tasted same as the real! Perhaps the best fake meat we have ever had. The soup was very delicious too. It tasted so unique and fresh.

To be frankly, Ms. BD didn’t like vegetarian food so much, but, for this Vegetarian Wonton Noodle, Ms. BD is giving two thumbs up for the well served. Well done, Chef!

As for the price, it was so cheap, it cost us only at IDR10,000 per portion. Interested to try?? You guys have to wait till next Sunday morning to get this food since it is just served on every Sunday. Don’t forget to come earlier (better before 09.00AM), your sacrifice will be paid off once you get your first bite on the noodle. Finger crossed.. 😀
