Golden Palace Dim Sum @ Pacific Palace Hotel

Hello guys,

How is your day? Hope you did your best for today!

Family time is a precious moment to be spent. No matter what, family will be the best people in our life. Agree?! 😉 Last Sunday, we spent our time with family by taking brunch at Pacific Palace Hotel. We thought that it was a good idea to spend our Sunday time by chit chat in a restaurant while enjoying dim sum for quite long time. Pacific Palace Hotel serve dim sum service on every Saturday evening and Sunday morning only. It is served on their 2nd floor restaurant, Golden Palace. We arrived at 10AM and it wasn’t crowded. Thus, there were a lot of table to be chosen.

The restaurant was a comfortable size, accommodating around 200 guests. The atmosphere was clean, calm and simply styled. Since it is a Chinese restaurant, the table arrangement also in Chinese style. Chinese teapot set had been put on each table. This is all you can eat dim sum with buffet style. So, you can take as much as you want. But, don’t forget to finish everything you take. Ok! 😉 They put all the food in the middle of restaurant room and everybody can take it by themselves. The supply of food was quick. So that, we didn’t wait too long for any food we want to take.

Awaiting for the pictures??? Check it out below guys! 😀

Food Bonanza from Golden Palace

Since we tried plenty of foods at that time, we tried to combine all the menus in a big picture as above. Generally, their food can be categorized as follow:

Dumpling: shumai, shrimp dumpling, steamed chicken feet, rice noodle roll, chicken buns, lotus leaf rice

Deep fried: prawn toast, fried eggplant, shrimp roll, fried chicken wonton, chicken in bean curd wrap

Sweets: ice cream, pancake, mixed fruit ice, durian pudding, assorted cake

Beverage: Chinese tea, mineral water

Others: porridge, nasi lemak, fried bee hon

We take a good note on the shumai, shrimp dumpling, fried eggplant, shrimp roll, fried chicken wonton, and chicken in bean curd wrap for the recommended menu you can try in this restaurant. Shumai and shrimp dumpling was so fresh, delicious, and the meat inside of them was also perfectly cooked. Fried eggplant is one of the best fried menu we ever tried. We never ate fried eggplant before. They made the eggplant spicy and salty in the same time, very delicious. For shrimp roll, fried chicken wonton, and chicken in bean curd wrap, since Mr. BD loves that kind of food, it may be a little biased, hehe 😀 , but he stated them as his recommendation. He ate them a lot!

After you eat a lot of deep fried food, you should feel thirsty. You can fulfill your thirst by drinking a lot of Chinese tea or you can take a bowl of mixed fruit ice for refreshing sensation.

Since there is always room for ice cream, why not top off an all-you-can-eat meal with a little scoop or two? And well, the combination of pancake and chocolate ice cream was the best dessert for us! The pancake texture was soft and not sweet. When we mixed it with the ice cream, it was so delicious, a definite must try one if you come to this place.

Price for adult is IDR75,000 while children is IDR40,000 (excluded tax 10%). Since the price is a little bit pricey, you should enjoy and spend your time there for quite long time.
