Kaiten Sushi

Hey Guys…

March and April will be a very busy months for us. There are some events to be arranged within these two months such as Batam Dine’s Charity Event, Meet and Greet with Batam Diners, and arranging Our Little BD Birthday! Woowww,, that’s a lot. But, still have fun. So, let’s do it! 😀

As we campaigned since 7th March 2016, we will have a charity event at Rempang Island – Batam on 24th April 2016. We will give free medical and dental health checkup for the local residence of Rempang Island. For fundraising, Batam Dine is selling dining coupon of Piccola Stella d’Almanna at IDR50,000 to get a pizza 6” (any toppings) and a soft drink. Simply call Ms. BD at +62-812-7686-2965 to buy the coupon or click this link to get the details of our charity event.

Now, let’s talk about Everyday Batam Cuisine. As for this time, let’s explore another Japanese restaurant at BCS Mall, Kaiten Sushi.

Kaiten Sushi

The place was easy to find, definitely. It’s on the 3rd floor of BCS Mall. Decoration was good and well arranged. They also have sushi conveyor like Sushi Tei. For dinner, we ordered Fire Floss Maki, Chicken Teriyaki Ramen, Chicken Tofu Teppanyaki, and Hot Ocha. Let’s check it out.

Fire Floss Maki

Fire Floss Maki – IDR48,800

The presentation was slightly messy when served. However, the taste was good with affordable price.

Chicken Teriyaki Ramen

Chicken Teriyaki Ramen – IDR59,800

When we go to any Japanese restaurant, a ramen should be tried. No question asked. 😉 Well, this time we tried their Chicken Teriyaki Ramen. We didn’t expect much as we haven’t found a really appetizing ramen in Batam. But, surprisingly, the entire dish was perfectly seasoned. The chicken was really tender and flavored. The soup was delicious too. We can say that it was one of the best ramen we ever tasted. And the best thing was the big portion for big “fat” man. Hahaha…

Chicken Tofu Teppanyaki

Chicken Tofu Teppanyaki – IDR38,800

Chicken Tofu Teppanyaki came with a pan of chicken tofu, miso soup, and steamed rice. With only IDR38,800, the price was reasonable. The tofu was deep fried but still soft inside. The chicken slices were small and simply stir-fried with onions. The teriyaki sauce was good and just the right amount too. Miso soup came to complete the set. It was tasty and enhances the appetite.

Overall, we were satisfied with the service of Kaiten Sushi. Sure we’ll come back soon to try other menus. 🙂
